Help and contact

Georgia Civic Data is free and run by a small team. Here is how to get help.

Contact us

Email shane@georgiacivicdata.org. We read every message and reply as soon as we can. To help us help you, include:

  • the page address, or the connector tool you were using;
  • what you asked or clicked, and what you expected;
  • what happened instead, with the exact error message if there was one;
  • for connector problems, which AI assistant and app you were using (for example, Claude on desktop or ChatGPT on mobile).

Please do not send personal information about anyone else, or about a child.

Using the MCP connector

Connector address: https://mcp.georgiacivicdata.org/mcp/. It needs no sign-in. Setup steps for each assistant are on the connector page. Common fixes:

  • No results. Try a broader search, or check the spelling of a code or name. A place name can match both a county and a school district, so say which one you mean.
  • A tool is missing. Refresh the connector's tool list in your assistant's settings, or remove the connector and add it again.
  • The connection drops. Start a new chat. If it keeps happening, remove the connector and add it again.

Report a problem with the information

If something looks wrong, out of date, or missing, email us with the page or tool, what it says, and the official source you compared it with. Corrections help everyone.

Privacy requests

For questions about your information, see the privacy policy or email us.

What this service does not do

  • It is not official. Georgia Civic Data is independent. It is not affiliated with the State of Georgia or any agency or school district, and nothing on it is legal or professional advice.
  • It does not cover every Georgia topic. It holds education, Census, and immigration data, and the catalog is growing. It holds tables of figures, not documents such as bills or court opinions.
  • School-zone lookups are not official. Zones are rebuilt from published sources and can be out of date. Confirm a school assignment with the school district.
