Resumen

Count of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) administrative arrests made in Georgia, by calendar year and month, from the person-level arrest records ICE released under FOIA and the Deportation Data Project processed. Each arrest is counted once (DDP's duplicate flag applied) and broken out by ICE's gender determination, criminality at arrest (convicted, pending charges, or other immigration violator), how the arrest was made (at-large, custodial, 287(g) program, other), and country of citizenship. State-level only: the source has no county field.

Granularidad de fila: Una fila por year, month, county_fips, demographic, criminality, apprehension_method_group, citizenship_country.

Descripción completa
Country of citizenship as recorded by ICE, keyed to the 22 countries most frequent among Georgia records across the ICE and immigration-court sources; every other country is 'other' and an unrecorded country is 'unknown'. 'all' is the total; the parts sum exactly to it. Not a demographic — this column has no FK to the demographics dimension.

Limitaciones

Years are CALENDAR years of the arrest date (with a month column), not federal fiscal years. ICE and the Deportation Data Project report by fiscal year (October 1 to September 30), so a figure here will not match a published 'FY2026' number. Coverage is 2022-10-01 through 2026-08-06: calendar 2022 is October–December only and 2026 stops on 6 August, so both end years are partial and a trend line dips at each end for that reason alone. Georgia is defined by DDP's apprehension_state_filled_in field; of the 28,220 Georgia arrest rows, 1,398 carry no state in ICE's own field and are attributed to Georgia by DDP's inference from the event landmark. The ICE 'Atlanta' area of responsibility also covers North and South Carolina and is not used as the filter. Nationally, 40,845 deduplicated arrests carry no state in either field (2,018 of them made by the Atlanta area of responsibility) and are counted in no state's series, so the Georgia figures are a floor; that gap is proportionally largest before 2025. Arrests are deduplicated with DDP's duplicate_drop_row flag (ICE records some arrests more than once): 653 rows were dropped, leaving 27,567 arrests. The companion dataset ice_arrests_with_detention_stays is the same arrests joined to their detention outcome — use it for the share of arrests that led to detention, and this dataset for arrest counts. The source has no county field, so this dataset is STATE-ONLY: county_fips is NULL on every row and there is no county breakdown. State rows are a complete grid of every month × category combination, so a 0 means no arrest matched that cell (zero is real; no suppression is applied at state grain). month = 'all' is the calendar-year total; every categorical's 'all' value is its total, so filter each to 'all' except the one you are breaking out, or the same arrest is counted on several rows. demographic is ICE's own gender determination (male/female), not self-reported; arrests recorded with gender Unknown count toward 'all' only, so male + female is slightly below all. citizenship_country names the 22 countries most frequent among Georgia records across the ICE and immigration-court sources (about 96 percent of Georgia arrests); every other country is 'other' and an unrecorded country is 'unknown'. criminality and apprehension_method_group are ICE's own classifications at the time of arrest, as recoded by DDP.
